We have been learning about Partitioning! We know that we can partition a number into tens and ones, for example:
42= 4 tens and 2 ones (so 40 + 2= 42)
We have now moved on to Partitioning numbers into different combinations of tens and ones. Can you practice at home? You all did so well at school!
For example, 42=
40 + 2= 42
30 + 12= 42
20 + 22= 42
10 + 32= 42
Can you spot a pattern? Is there a way you can work systematically to partition these 2 digit numbers in different ways:
56
72
43
89
64
27
61
34
92
63
If you have been off school because you have been unwell you may have missed some of these lessons. We will be doing more of this on Monday so please don’t worry if you find this tricky due to being away!
