Today, years 3 – 6 launched into the BBC 500 word competition with a live lesson!
Throughout the lesson children were provided with some top tips and advice from authors including Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Charlie Higson and Francesca Simon! The children learnt to pay attention to the audience they are writing for, the point of view they are writing from as well as creative ways to end their stories!
Students will be writing their stories in class this term which will focus on ideas from the past, present and future! Anything from The Tudors to flying cars the ideas are endless!
We cannot wait to get started on writing our ageless tales that will go down in the history books!
