Toucans have been enjoying the story of The Nutcracker. We have explored the main characters and become these characters, even the foul Mouse King! We have looked at the journey each character takes, what happens to them at different parts of this classic story and if their behaviour changes as a result of events.
As part of our learning we took part in a drama workshop based on this story. It was amazing!
The Sugar Plum Fairy told us her version of the story and we acted out those parts. We also danced to Tchaikovsky’s music as we know the story is based on the ballet danced to this.
At the end we played some fun games and wished the Sugar Plum Fairy a very Merry Christmas!
