An Iron Giant!
This term, the Pelicans have enjoyed reading ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes. The children learnt how the language we use in our writing has an effect on the reader. We noticed that Ted Hughes often uses similes, metaphors and personification in his writing. We tried to use these skills in our own character descriptions and used these to also write a class Iron Man poem.
