On Monday 21st March, the Rosary Chamber Choir performed in the ‘Camden Music Festival 2016’ at the world famous Royal Albert Hall! Representatives from Camden schools and youth bands, orchestras and mass choirs gave a stunning performance of music ranging from classical, opera and jazz to popular songs and even a song composed by children! The children also worked alongside the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the English Pocket Opera Company to put on this magnificent show! The event, which has been running every two years since 1998, was compered by Channel 4 News presenter and Camden resident Jon Snow! And there was even an appearance and speech from David Walliams who is the patron of the Camden Music Trust. It was a magical evening, and one that truly made us all feel extremely lucky to be part of the Camden borough! Well done to our Chamber Choir and our Recorder Group who performed brilliantly! Huge thanks to Mr Burke and all the staff that accompanied the children – Ms Cruikshank, Mr Bennett, Mrs Hesrt, Mrs Hayter and Layil.
