Today, we had a visit from some of the scientists at the Crick Institute to celebrate Science Week.
We learnt all about the human skeleton, including the femur (thigh bone) which is the longest bone in the body. We conducted an experiment to find out whether having a long femur is advantageous for doing long jump competitions. Then, we had mystery bags with fossils, x-rays, dental mirrors and animal bones inside. We had to feel and describe the objects to find out what they could be.
It was so much fun 😄😄
