Our Catholic Social Teaching topic is ‘Care of Creation.’ In KS1, we discussed the six other Catholic Social Teaching principles before learning about the focus for this half term.
We read through the Bible verse and paraphrased excerpts from Laudato Si. Then we watched a video of beautiful scenes from around the world, discussing how wonderful God’s creation is! We know that God made the world for us. The world is everyone’s home and we need to look after it. Being a steward of creation means being someone who cares for the world.
We discussed what we can do to look after our world. We thought about how we can be good stewards of creation.
We spoke about how we could leave a good footprint on the earth. We wrote down our promises and created a display for our KS1 corridor.
