Abie Longstaff, the author, visited us yesterday! She has written over 50 children’s books and we loved her workshops!
EYFS learnt all about creating fun characters through reading, creativity and drawing. They read ‘Superhero Hotel’ and imagined their own characters.
KS1 learned about storytelling through the use of non fiction. We created our own potions!
LKS2 discussed how to capture a reader’s interest and how to develop a story from a central concept.
UKS2 talked about the editing and reviewing process of writing – we all make mistakes and these are important!
