This week, we visited the Natural History Museum! We began with the Earthquakes and Volcanoes exhibition, where we learned about tectonic activity and its impact on the planet. We saw a 3-D model of the structure of the Earth, a full-size heat proof suit and experienced an Earthquake. We then visited the Rocks and Diamonds exhibition, putting our knowledge of sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks to the test. Here, we discovered various minerals, gemstones, and how they are formed.

A highlight of the day was participating in a workshop on earthquakes and volcanoes, where we engaged in hands-on activities to understand these natural phenomena better. We used a seismometer to measure seismic activity and saved the citizens of “Volcano Town”!

To top it all off, we even got to see some dinosaurs, sparking our curiosity about prehistoric life.
