Today, we had our second Marvellous Maths morning of the year. We showed our parents and carers how to play the game ‘Swappy Strips’ – a super game to practise times tables.

Here are the rules:

  1. Draw a grid with 6 spaces.
  2. Take it in turns to roll the dice. Multiply the number you roll by 6 (or any times tables you would like to practise) and put the answer in any square on your board.
  3. Continue until all the squares are full up.
  4. Swap your strip with your partner.
  5. Take it in turns to roll the dice again. This time, cross off a number if it is 6 times the number you roll (you may cross off more than one number at a time).

The winner is the first person to cross out all their numbers!
