Good morning Flamingos!
Today, you’ll be writing your own “fractured fairy tales” – fairy tales with a twist!
Select a classic fairy tale and give it a twist by doing the following:
– Change the roles – Cinderella was spoilt or Snow White was jealous.
– Change the perspective – from the point of view of the wolf or Goldilocks.
– Change the time or place – set it in the future, present or change the setting.
It could be that you write the back story of the wolf from “The Three Little Pigs” and we find out why he had such a grudge against the pigs. Or that in “Cinderella” the evil stepsister is actually really nice and ends up marrying the prince. It could be that in “Rapunzel”, the princess escapes from the tower herself and goes off on an adventure. Or maybe you write a modern-day murder mystery to find out who pushed Humpty Dumpty off the wall.
