The children have been learning letter sounds through fun games. This week they have been playing ‘Splat the sound’. Maybe you could play it with your child at home.

All you need is:-   1.Two pieces of paper with the sounds ‘s,a,t,i,n and p’, written on them.

2. A dice covered with these six sounds – using paper and sellotape.

3. Then just take turns with your child to roll the dice and see which sound you get.

If your child can match the sounds from the dice to one on their paper, they can ‘Splat the sound’!

An extension for this activity, is to ask your child if they can think of objects that begin with a sound that they roll. Have fun!
