We are going to begin this term with learning about the value of each digit in 2 and 3 digit numbers.
When we look at a number such as 42, we know that the digit 4 really means ’40’ or ‘4 tens’. We know that the digit 2 means, 2 units or 2 ones.
Try partitioning 2 digit numbers into tens and ones. Use a dice at home if you have one.
