Today, Year 3 and 4 traveled back in time to Ancient Greece. The amazing theatre company ‘Fresh Water Theatre’ took us on a fun and informative adventure through Ancient Greece where we explored philosophy, democracy, the olympics, gods/goddesses, myths, clothing and battles.
We learnt the Greek alphabet and learnt to read Ancient Greek writing. We found out that Homer’s famous two stories were the Iliad and the Odyssey.
We even got to act out the myth Theseus and the Minotaur! Year 3 were very excited about this because we have been learning about this myth in class this week.
Everyone loved the performance and learnt a lot about Ancient Greece. Have a look at some of the photos from the performance.
