It is Anti-Bullying Week. We know that bullying is hurting someone on purpose over and over again. We discussed who we can talk to at school if we ever need to. We also talked about the importance of standing up and speaking up if we see something that is not right.
We read the story ‘The Lion Inside’ which is all about a little mouse who finds the courage to stand up to a (scary) lion! This story had a very happy ending because the mouse stands up to the lion and both animals learn from each other.
We then created Anti-Bullying posters! The theme of the week this year is ‘One Kind Word.’ We spoke about different kind words which could make others happy, such as ‘sorry’. You can spot some of the kind words and phrases on our posters. There are some examples below.
