Our first Catholic Social Teaching focus was Care for Creation. This complimented our Religion topic, Creation, wonderfully as we explored the care and love with which God created our universe and the special job he trusted to humans. We enjoyed learning about how we are all stewards of our earth and the responsibility this role come with. This presented interesting and complex discussions due to the imminent dangers of climate change. We were all very passionate about what we could do to fulfil our obligation as caretakers f our world.
Snowy Owls were so interested in the topic they completed a whole class art display celebrating the beauty of God’s creation. They then thought about what they could do to ensure his creation was cared for and loved as stewards of this planet.
Max: Our world is important because God made it for us to enjoy. We are stewards of his creation and must look after the world we live in. We can do this by picking up rubbish, recycling planting more plants and trees.
Luna: I really enjoyed this theme as it inspired everyone to look after our world and think more about their actions and the impact they are having on the planet.
Abi: I loved the art exhibition, it was so interesting to see peoples different interpretations and ideas but all focused on how we can look after God’s creation in a modern world.
