Last week we designed and made salads! We used scissors to cut the lettuce, knives to chop the cucumber and tomatoes and a grate to grate the carrots. We wrote instructions about this in Literacy!
This week we made cakes to link to Thomas Farriner’s bakery on Pudding Lane! We discussed our ideas beforehand and selected equipment to help us cook. We needed chopping boards, measuring scales, spoons and a mixing bowl to prepare the ingredients.
We then followed the recipe, taking our time to measure out each ingredient and check the scales. We mashed the bananas using a fork and mixed the ingredients together. We then placed them in the oven and waited for them to cook! They were delicious!
