Last Friday, 40 children represented our school at the CSSA Cross Country at Parliament Hill. 26 schools from around the Camden area were in attendance seeing hundreds of keen students compete for the long distance crown in their respective age groups.
As always our school did exceptionally well challenging all of the larger schools from around the area. The determination and perseverance shown by each and every Rosary runner was extremely impressive and a reflection of their hard work and training leading up to the event. Overall the Rosary finished an outstanding 4th position! An enormous result for our school and one we should be truly proud of. A special congratulations goes to the following children who starred in their races finishing in the top 10.
Romario (Year 3 Boys) 5th overall out of 207 runners.
Che (Year 4 Boys) 1st overall out of 165 runners
Dominic (year 4 Boys) 3rd out of 165 runners
Oliver W (Year 6 Boys) 8th overall out 139 runners)
Lacey (Year 5 Girls) 3rd overall out of 153 runners
Lucas (Year 5 Boys) 7th overall out of 154 runners
Sportsmanship Awards were also given to Thomas A and Teddy for being fine leaders and for always giving their absolute best effort.A massive thank you also goes to Mrs Hayter, Miss Berg and Mr Belgrave-Spence for managing the team and cheering on our runners all day.
Here are some shots from throughout the day…
