Today, we participated in our final drama workshop, led by teachers from The Hall School.

Our session began with an introduction to Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie. We explored the use of freeze frames to convey the emotions and actions of different characters, diving into their experiences and perspectives.

The following week, we focused on identifying various groups of people from the book through specific actions and phrases. We then brought these groups to life by acting out short scenes for our classmates, sharpening our improvisation skills. This exercise encouraged us to pay close attention to gestures and diction.

A highlight of our workshop was when one of our teachers, a professional puppeteer, introduced us to her latest creation—Sneef! We had the opportunity to ask Sneef about his habitat, culinary tastes, and his uniquely funky appearance, which was both fun and fascinating.

In our final session, we were thrilled to design and create our own finger puppets, inspired by Sneef’s home—the Valley of K. We crafted backstories and personal preferences for our puppets and shared these imaginative details with each other, wrapping up our drama journey on a creatively high note.
