The Eagles and Snowy Owls had a fantastic day at the Synagogue!
We were taught all about what life was like for Jewish people around the time of World War II and were shocked to learn how people were treated for their faith.
We followed the story of a boy called Leo, who had to leave his life behind in Berlin and travel on Kindertransport to England where he would be safe.
After this, we were given a tour of the synagogue by Rabbi Eli Levin. He even showed us the Torah Scrolls that are kept in the sacred Ark.
We felt very welcome and had a great day out!
This looks like a fascinating day Eagles – what a privilege to visit a place of worship and learn all about another faith. It is also important that you learnt more about WW2 and The Holocaust. I am looking forward to hearing more about this with you.
