Yesterday, Eagles visited the Churchill War Rooms. It was a fantastic experience to go underground to the headquaters where Churchill made many major decisions during WW2.
On th 16th of August 1945, the doors to the Cabinet War Rooms were locked and left undisturbed until Parliament made it a historic site in 1948. Restricted access and knowledge of the site remained quiet until late 1970 when when the Imperial War Museum began preserving the site and it’s contents for a wide audience. In 1984 the War Rooms opened to the public.
Have a look at our photos from the trip.
