Last week, we rounded off our topic (Building an Empire) with Victorian Day! All of dressed in traditional Victorian attire and experienced a full Victorian school timetable. We turned the lights off and adapted to a limited use of technology and electricity- it certainly was a strange experience! Furthermore, we also experienced traditional Victorian lessons: Reading, wRiting and aRithmetic (the 3 Rs). At the end of the day, we reflected and discussed the benefits and obvious drawbacks of Victorian schooling.
