The Chicks have been learning about the produce that comes from our farms this week. So, we decided to turn our home corner into a farmers market so the children can role play selling produce for themselves.
Some chicks filled the baskets with fruit and veg and others wrote a price list on the black board.
Great discussions were had about what they were selling, where it came from and how many of each item was in the shop.
The market has been a hive of activity full of rich vocabulary and discussions about number and quantities.
