Today, we had our second Marvellous Maths morning of the year. We showed our parents and carers how to play the game ‘Swappy Strips’ – a super game to practise times tables.
Here are the rules:
- Draw a grid with 6 spaces.
- Take it in turns to roll the dice. Multiply the number you roll by 6 (or any times tables you would like to practise) and put the answer in any square on your board.
- Continue until all the squares are full up.
- Swap your strip with your partner.
- Take it in turns to roll the dice again. This time, cross off a number if it is 6 times the number you roll (you may cross off more than one number at a time).
The winner is the first person to cross out all their numbers!
