Here in the Nursery we have been feeling the Christmas cheer for quite some time! It began when Elvis, our class Elf sent from Santa arrived in the Nursery with a very special letter! We made a Naughty and Nice list in the Nursery for Elvis to refer to, knowing that he would only ever see Nice List Behavior! We love seeing what silly places he chooses to watch the Nursery Chicks from, that cheeky elf!
We have celebrated Christmas with many crafts! One of our favorite’s was being Santa’s elves and making an assembly line! Each elf had an Elf Tag, and had a very important task to do from cutting, sticking, coloring and of course.. sparkling! This was all for our Nativity welcome sign and decorations!
We loved performing our Nativity on the Main Hall Stage and would like to thank all of our loved ones for coming to celebrate the story of Christmas! We practiced singing and dancing for many weeks in the Nursery, then brought our singing voices beyond the classroom walls and into our homes! Thank you again for all of your support, whether it was at home singing or coming to support us on stage – it made our very first Nativity Performance all the more merrier!
Finally, this past week we have had many exciting events to celebrate a very merry term! Learning and playing Christmas bingo to boost oracy, dressing up in our own festive clothes and Christmas Jumper day on the same day as Christmas Lunch!
What do you do to get ready for Christmas? We would love to hear what helps you get into the Christmas spirit!
For the love of learning,
