Today we visited Kew Gardens to launch our ‘Climbers and Creepers’ topic! It is a Science topic. We had a workshop where we were Plant Scientists! We identified the different parts of a plant. Then we hid some raisins like squirrels and managed to find them later in the day!
We also went to The Hive- At a towering 17 metres tall, The Hive is a striking installation in the heart of a wildflower meadow that recreates life inside a beehive.
We loved seeing so many different plants! We also used microscopes to look at different flowers. We sketched some flowers using magnifying glasses and looked at different seeds.
We learnt so much on our trip that will help us with our upcoming class assembly!
After lunch we even visited the playground!
