Today we were lucky enough to be visited by ‘History off the page’. We journeyed back in time to experience what life was like in 1666, just before the Great Fire of London started.
During the morning session the children dressed up in clothes from the 17th Century and became fully immersed in the era!
The mornings workshops involved the children working their way around different activity tables where they could make items from that time.
They experimented with sewing, using feathers and ink to write, making candles and even printing into leather.
In the afternoon the children became archaeological detectives! They had to solve the mystery of how the shops were destroyed by studying the artifacts they uncovered.
The children had such a fun and educational day! Thank you to all whole helped the day run so smoothly.
