On Thursday, Kingfishers went to the Natural History Museum! This was a fantastic day that supported our learning of our current topic of Shake Rock and Roll about rocks, earthquakes and volcanoes. We spent the morning looking around their ‘Red Zone’ exhibitions. It was brilliant to see so many examples of the different types of rock, and a more in depth explanation of how rocks are formed and shaped over time. We especially enjoyed the shop earthquake! After lunch we had a workshop all about volcanoes and earthquakes and were able to show off the some of the facts we had learned from our Class Assembly!
