As part of our Catholic Social Teaching learning, Kingfishers explored the concept ‘The Common Good.’ We discussed how through working together to improve the well being of all people we can help improve the whole world. That whilst we all have individual rights, we need to balance them with the needs of people who are vulnerable or have less. We talked about how we can work towards the Common Good in our community by supporting charities.
Luna said, ‘It is about looking after our community and the people in it and making sure it’s the best it can be for all people.’
Gabi thinks, ‘It’s making sure everyone is treating and correctly.’
Ashton shared what he thinks, ‘It’s about helping all members of our community have what they need.’
Ronnie thinks, ‘It’s about treating people with dignity and making sure no one goes without basic needs.’
We created posters to promote The Common Good.
