At the Rosary we are celebrating female artists with a whole school project called ‘Women of the World’.
Our artist is Alma Thomas. She was an African-American artist and teacher who lived in the USA, known for painting colourful circles using small rectangles. We had to think carefully about the shapes and sizes we used and which paintbrush worked best.
We were inspired and loved creating our own art in her style!
