On Thursday all of LKS2 had a workshop of ‘Let’s Locate… Geographical Features’. The children “went on an expedition” led by an Earth Explorer to visit different climate zones and biomes across the world. They explored hemispheres, tropics and time zones through puzzles and activities. They loved the activities and ended with a performance explaining why a specific animal was adapted to the climate it lived in. Some children read aloud while others acted out and pretended to be the animals. Throughout the workshop the children learnt actions to help them remember key words such as latitude and longitude.
