Today, we delivered our persuasive speeches inspired by Varjak Paw trying to persuade Holly and Tam to help him rescue his family. We focussed on effective speaking techniques such as intonation, body posture and eye contact. First, we practised delivering our speeches at our tables. Then, we presented our speeches to the class. Peers provided constructive feedback and reflected on what went well and areas for improvement. This lesson helped us to improve our public speaking skills and confidence.
