We have been monitoring our seeds that we planted. We planted one seed in soil and ensured it was watered and had access to sunlight. This seed had everything we think a plant needs to grow (including the right temperature).
We then planted a seed without soil (we used cotton wool) and ensured we watered it and placed it somewhere where it would have sunlight.
Another seed had soil and sunlight but no water.
Our final seed had soil and water but no sunlight!
We ensured the test remained fair by giving the same amount of water and access to sunlight (as well as amount of soil where needed).
