The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. When we Pray the Rosary, we are praying to God through Mary. The rosary begins with the recitation of the Apostle’s Creed, an Our Father, three Hail Mary’s and a Glory Be. Then there are five decades which each begin and end with an Our Father and Glory Be, and have ten Hail Mary’s in between. When you pray the rosary, you meditate on the events in Jesus’ life. There are the joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries.

A very big thank you to Mrs Looney who is visiting school to teach our children how the Pray the Rosary. Each class has a prayer session using our ‘Rosary’ board.  Children have the opportunity to share their prayer intentions before each of the ten Hail Mary’s.  This is a lovely opportunity for reflection.

It was nice to have a moment of peace and reverence where we can pray for those who aren’t as lucky and thanking god and Mary for what they have done for us and for helping us and answering our questions within our lives. I totally agree with what my year six class members have contributed and deeply enjoyed this session with god.
