Flamingoes had an exciting day at the Science Museum on Thursday, 17th March 2016. We looked at a variety of Forces that impact on our lives – including pressure from steam which runs engines, forces that keep planes in the air and explored the amazing Glass Bridge which was suspended from many thin wires. The cables supporting the bridge spread the force so that it is not concentrated in the middle where it could become weak. Children learnt from many of the hands-on resources available there.
