Liturgical Year: The Baptism of the Lord Cycle: B
Gospel: Mark 1:7-11
In the Sunday Gospel, John the Baptist told everyone that someone greater than him was coming. This person was so great that He would baptise them not just with water, but with the Holy Spirit. When we are baptised, we become part of God’s family, a family that loves and cares for each other and one where our sisters and brothers in Christ are all over the world!
Each day remember that we are all God’s children and He cares for us just like our families do:
Monday – Our families enjoy doing fun things together; God loves seeing us happy too.
Tuesday – Our families provide a home for us; God is preparing a place for us in Heaven.
Wednesday – Our families provide food for us; God feeds us with His word.
Thursday – Our families help us; God is always there to help us.
Friday – Our families give us presents we look after; God gave us the world to look after.
