Whole Class Reading Time
Flamingo class have been spending time together reading Roald Dahl’s famous book ‘The BFG’. The children have been loving the fantasy element of the story and The Big Friendly Giant’s nonsense words. This text links in nicely with our focus on ‘Be The Best You Can Be’ – A program championed by Olympic athlete Jo Mersh, that encourages children to acknowledge their dreams and begin thinking about how to achieve them. Roald Dahl fans will know that The BFG is quite the dream catcher, and we have borrowed some of his dream jars to enclose the wonderful dreams of Flamingo class. If you have read The BFG or currently have the pleasure of reading it with your class, why not have your say and post a comment below that describes what you love most about the exciting tale!
