As you know, our topic treasure for this term is The Big Freeze! We have had so much fun learning and exploring this topic and with such low temperatures this week our understanding of freezing has reached the peak of its iceberg!
One morning, we noticed our penguins were stuck in ice! We had a lot of fun using tools to break them free, listening to the sounds of cracking ice and feeling it in our hands! As the day went on we noticed the ice was melting from the afternoon sun! Little did we know this experiment continued to the next morning as the melted water turned into ice again over night!
Experiments, planned or unplanned, are so very exciting! And with temperatures changing we know there are so many more happening in our environment!
What at do you notice changing in your community? What experiments have you planned at home?
For the love of learning,
