The Chicks had a very exciting 2 weeks.. with chicks! Well when they arrived they were eggs and when they left they were chicks – you can imagine the environment these chicks were hatched into!
In preparation for raising chicks, we learned about the life cycle of a chicken. We also talked about our own life cycle and our own experiences with babies! We also learned songs about hatching eggs and watched videos of chickens hatching at a farm.
You could say we were very gentle and quiet around our eggs as they were in the incubator. Our energy then grew with excitement as one by one the chicks began to crack and out of their shells, hatch and quickly cheeping!
We also learned about what chicks eat and the similarities and differences! Can you guess what we eat that is the same as growing chicks? If you are ever in the Nursery, ask any of our Chicks!
Because we did such a wonderful job raising chicks we are getting a second batch of eggs to take care of after Easter holidays! We very much are looking forward to sharing this experience with all of the Rosary as well as our families!
