A large mysterious egg was in our Reception classroom and the children were curious to know whose egg it was. There were feathers and sticks scattered everywhere so the children began to investigate. We used binoculars and magnifying glasses to explore. We then had a discussion about what animals hatch out of an egg. Some of the children said chickens, parrots, lizards and crocodiles. Then each child drew a picture to record what they thought.
It was such an exciting morning!
