We visited London Zoo today! We had such a wonderful time in the sunshine!
First, we had a workshop all about lifecycles. This is part of our ‘Survival’ topic. We learnt about the human lifecycle and put some of the stages in the correct order.
We then did the same with frogs! We learnt a new word: ‘metamorphosis!’
We acted out the different stages of the butterfly life cycle. We loved dressing up and representing each stage!
Finally, we worked in groups to put different life cycles in the correct order! It was a great workshop to start our day.
After the workshop, we had our lunch on the grass. Then we saw lots of animals including lions (and cubs), tigers, penguins, goats, giraffes, hippos, zebras, camels and gorillas (including a two babies!)
It was such a brilliant trip! A big thank you to our parent/ carer helpers!
