It was class Toucans assembly last week. We themed our assembly around our current RE topic, ‘Good Neighbours’. Fr Nicolas had come into our class and told us the story of the Good Samaritan so we decided to tell this story as part of our assembly.
We then thought about how we could be a good friend and neighbour just like the Good Samaritan was. After brainstorming words and ideas together, we write a class acrostic poem. As part of this, we sang ‘You’ve got a friend in me’ which everybody really enjoyed singing along to.
We also wrote prayers to ask God to help us be the best friend and neighbour that we can be.
