Yesterday (Thursday 28th April 2016) a group of ambitious and dedicated mathematicians from KS2 volunteered to have a go at the United Kingdom Maths Trust ‘Junior Mathematical Challenge’! Usually aimed at children in secondary school, this is an extremely challenging (but fun) paper filled with 25 maths questions that would give any adult a run for their money! You know we love a bit of stretch and challenge here at Rosary and yesterday afternoon was no exception! The children were pushed to their limits but they impressed us so much with their good humour, effort and enthusiasm! We have sent the results away to be marked by a ‘dumb machine’ – ask those who took the challenge what this means – and we should know the results in a few weeks! Well done to all our competitors! Have a look at the paper they had a go at – can you get any right?
It was soooo hard. Half of the questions were impossible to get right!!
