Our six little ducklings have flown the nest and gone to live on a farm with other ducks where they have lots of space to play, swim and fly. We were very sad to see them go but we have enjoyed them so much! They really were the best company. Apart from when they pooed all over Miss Liddell’s carpet!
Here’s a little timeline for you to enjoy…
They began their journey in an incubator, there were seven eggs.
They began to crack, beginning with a tiny hole.
They were so exhausted from all their hard work. They had to chip, chip chip away at the shell with only a small spike on the end of their beak called a butter tooth.
Once they had slept for a very long time, the fun began!
Duckling poo Bingo!!!
They grew and grew. They grew so much, they could eventually jump on top of their brooder! The brooder kept them warm.
The whole loved coming down to see them.
They enjoyed swimming most of all!
We were so sad to see them go but they know that we love them dearly and they will always be with us in our hearts.
I’m going to miss Apollo
What a lovely experience for all having the ducklings at The Rosary – I had never held one before! A very big thank you to Miss Liddell and ‘Ducklings’ for being brave enough to host the ducklings ?
I really miss Apollo!
I am going to miss Denis!!!???
I miss all the ducklings! Let’s hope we can do this again next year!
