We joined the ‘Fairytale Stories and Traditional Tales’ zoom today with Michael Rosen, Jasbinder Bilan and Allen Fatimaharan. This was such an exciting way to start World Book Week! The authors read us stories which were based on fairytales and traditional tales. We were able to join in with the stories at different times as we picked up on the recurring language.
We learnt more about fairytales, recapping our learning from our first topic of the year: ‘Once Upon a Time’. We loved writing and drawing some of our own ideas for fairytales! We discussed strange places in which our stories could be set e.g. a misty forest or a creepy mansion! Finally, we followed directions from Allen Fatimaharan to draw a character! We know that we can all tell stories! We cannot wait for World Book Day on Thursday!
