Year 6 had an amazing day visiting The Royal Institute of British Architects.  They spent time in the ‘Difficult Spaces’ exhibition exploring how architects overcome challenges when they design buildings.  They then spend the afternoon planning and making models of their own buildings in difficult spaces – with a train track running through the middle of it, a very narrow site between two much larger buildings, the peak of a mountain, spanning a river and more.  The children were so creative with the ideas they came up with and worked collaboratively to make the models and then present.  It seems we have lots of budding architects in the cohort!
