A SEND Information Report (Local Authorities call this a ‘Local Offer’) gives children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities and their families’ information about what support services the local authority think will be available in their local area. Every local authority is responsible for writing a Local Offer and making sure it is available for everyone to see.

DfE Parent Information about Local Offer
Camden Local Authority publishes the Camden Local Offer on its website – setting out a wide range of information about the specialist services, schools, colleges and organisations that can provide support and information for families of children and young people with SEN/D. It explains the procedures for requesting an assessment for an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) – which is replacing the SEN statement. It can be accessed at: www.localoffer.camden.gov.uk
Where else can I find information?
Camden have lots of information for parents on their SENDIASS page (Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service). Click here to visit their website where you can find useful leaflets and a contact email address.
