History in Snowy Owls: trip to the RAF Museum

The Snowy Owls Year 5 class enjoyed a fascinating school trip to the RAF Museum today as part of our World War II topic! We had the incredible opportunity to see the real aircraft of different countries up close, making our learning about wartime aviation truly spectacular. We then took part in a brilliant workshop called "Christmas During Wartime," where we learned how people's lives were affected by the war and the resourcefulness required to celebrate Christmas during this challenging period. We even got hands-on experience by making traditional rag rugs and learned all about the strict rations people lived with, bringing the history of the home front to life.
